should there be an issue, you can run LIVE from
Aegisys until the issue is corrected locally.

Aegisys Data Vault is a
backup ONLY.
Data Vault
clients, by comparison to the HOT SITE
alternative, are able to browse their
backups and restore files or related data over
the Internet. Should you have a "down" PC or
server, the time required to restore the
information is directly proportional to the size
of your data and the speed of your Internet
connection.

How HOT SITE Works
AHSS is for companies that
either do not have a backup solution or wish to
augment their current solution. We are proud to
base our HOT SITE solutions on a
no agent
software
requirement for each protected server to be
backed up. Instead, Data is direct synchronized
to Aegisys hosted Disaster Recovery
MIRROR
servers
real-time as data changes
though our private ExclusiveNET
Extranet community. Data can be backed up or
restored by authorized users via as simple as
cut and paste
or drag and drop
functionalities based on the method your data is
being backed up.
Aegisys includes as part of your cost of Service, joining
your Mirror server to your existing domain as a
Domain Controller. We further become a secondary DNS to
your network. Therefore, if your domain
controllers were to suffer a failure, you will
still authenticate off of your hosted Mirror
server seamlessly.
We know of no other
vendor that infuses as much functionality,
usability, security and added value in any
Disaster Recovery life cycle solution for as little
as our cost of service.
Data Transfer Basics
Aegisys can setup almost any
size of server for
HOT
SITE. The time to be
GO-LIVE
may vary based on the size of the system being
MIRRORED.
Therefore, process which we follow will vary
based on requirements and software used.
Aegisys
ExclusiveNET Partners may enjoy
the added benefit of a dedicated VLAN connection
to the Aegisys Network Operations Centre
dramatically increasing the volume of data that
may be synced to your Mirror Server.
Syncronizations can be scheduled to run at preset
intervals or set to run continuously. Hourly (or
the appropriate configured interval) historical
versions of active data files will be kept for
thirty days. After thirty days, the versions
will be reduced to weekly, monthly and
eventually yearly versions according to the
retention policy.
